Doctoral VIVA - Delivering Inspiring Doctoral Assessment and Chairing Vivas Effectively

The workshop will take the form of a guided tour of the process and procedures of assessment at doctoral level. A range of case studies and vignettes drawn from experience will be interspersed throughout. This will include presenting participants with some challenging situations to raise issues and aid discussion.

Participants are invited to consider in advance any specific queries or concerns they may have about the process. They may share them by emailing senthila.quirke@brunel.ac.uk, to be considered anonymously in the session or bring them on post-it notes, one per query/topic, to place on a flipchart at the start of the session.
