MATLAB: Programming basics
This session aims to provide hands-on learning of MATLAB programming.
This session will introduce the basics of the programming with Matlab software tool and take you through very basic exercises which enable the learners to understand the benefits of programming capabilities of MATLAB.
Programming in MATLAB is user friendly, relatively easy to learn, to use the rich programming capability of MATLAB, able to use built-in MATLAB routine very effectively and allows you to make the programme as generic as possible.
Aimed atAny postgraduate research students or research staff who are beginners to MATLAB and have attended the "Introduction to MATLAB" workshop
Participants should have attended to the previous workshop “MATLAB: Getting started” or have some basic knowledge about this software.
Key learning outcomes
This session aims to cover the following areas:
- Solve system of linear equations.
- Create and use function m-files.
- Use logical operations and variables.
- Use MATLAB program control.
- Write programs that execute code based upon some condition.
- Create 2D and 3D plots.
- Export and import data.
Session outline and aims
This training will enable the participant to get a working knowledge of MATLAB. By using MATLAB participants will be able to produce and to run MATLAB programs.
