This workshop is designed to equip participants with an understanding of the purpose, process and product of a literature review and how to tackle the process through three phases of searching, critical reading and writing up.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the nature and purpose of the research literature review
Recognise the importance of an appropriate structure for the review
Devise a method of reading and note-taking tailored for their review preparation
Write it efficiently
Session outline and aims
This session will be led by a Trainer and interactive discussions are encouraged between the participants and the Trainer at appropriate times. Group work will explore aspects of systematic searching, critical reading, and appropriate structure of the review itself.

Participants will be viewing presentations projected onto a SMART Board screen. Participants may be required to work in groups. Refreshments may be available at the venue.
