Critical Appraisal of Scientific and Medical Literature (A)

This session describes basic principles behind critically assessing a scientific publication. Even though the formats of papers vary greatly the principles for assessment of quality are remarkably simple. They are centred around several key questions which will be explained in detail. The session is suitable for all students across the College.

Aimed at

Compulsory for all first year PGR students from the College of Health & Life Sciences, and optional for all other PhD students in the College of Health & Life Sciences
