The Philosophy of Research Methodology (Department of Education Doctoral Researchers only)
The aim of this session is to develop understanding of the terms ontology, epistemology and research paradigms. This class will address philosophical underpinnings of social and educational research. The focus is on empirical projects but will also make links to varied research paradigms and historical, philosophical and policy studies. The session will provide space to explore the specific research interests of those present, so please come ready to describe your research design and methodological underpinnings.
