Careers: Discussion group 1 - career management for researchers
The online Future Learn course career management for early career academic researchers will help you to explore career options in and outside academia, learn what you want out of a career and understand how to implement good career decisions through effective job hunting, applications and interviews.
The course is being actively promoted to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers throughout the UK, for a collective start on Monday 1 March, allowing the opportunity to discuss your learning and share your experiences with other researchers nationwide as you complete the programme. The course is designed to be completed over a 4 week period and you are encouraged to set aside 3 hours each week to complete the articles, videos, reflective activities, exercises and discussion topics.
If you wish to participate in the online programme alongside other HE researchers nationwide, please wait to join the course on or around Monday 1 March since access is only free for a maximum of 6 weeks.
Two live discussion groups on 9 and 24 March will provide opportunities to discuss your learning from the course so far, share tips / experience with other Brunel researchers and ask any questions.
